Meeting of the members of FBN-Bulgaria with Minister Lilyana Pavlova
On February 13, 2018, an official business breakfast with a special guest Minister Lilyana Pavlova took place at the Marinela Hotel in Sofia, organized by FBN - Bulgaria and sponsored by Silver Star Motors.
Establishing a sustainable partnership between family companies and Bulgarian institutions is among the main goals set by the President of the Association - Mr. Stefan Gugushev, during his term. In this regard, the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU is a good occasion to strengthen the position of Bulgarian family companies and expand their opportunities at the national and European level.
The event lasted about 2 hours in the presence of Minister Lilyana Pavlova, President of the Association - Mr. Stefan Gugushev, President of NxG Bulgaria - Mr. Victor Gugushev, members of the Organization and the official sponsors of the event - "Silver Star Motors" represented by the executive director of the company Mr. Rolf-Jürgen Zaerle and Mr. Kiril Iliev - director of the company. Minister Pavlova presented the main topics set in the program during the 6-month term of Bulgaria and answered all questions of the guests.
The opportunities for sponsorship during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU are important for Bulgarian companies. Minister Pavlova assured that the Ministry of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU will sign a sponsorship agreement with FBN-Bulgaria, which will be available to all members of the Association. Negotiations are currently underway between Minister Pavlova and Mr. Stefan Gugushev for the development and signing of the framework agreement on the topic. We believe that this partnership is a great success and provides many opportunities for the members of the Organization.
Mr. Victor Gugushev - President of NxG Bulgaria officially presented to Minister Pavlova the approved candidacy of Bulgaria for the international event of NxG-I in 2020. She congratulated the Organization for the great achievement and expressed her full support and willingness to assist in organizing this so important for the country’s economic development event.
A topic of discussion was the new European regulation for personal data protection - GDPR, and the optimal options for its implementation and use.
Another important topic touched upon during the meeting was the elimination of the geo-blocking of Bulgaria in online trade. A few days later - on February 28, 2018, the new regulation against geo-blocking was signed in Brussels, which will enter into force by the end of 2018.
After the meeting, all guests expressed their satisfaction with the constructive dialogue on the topics discussed. The team of FBN- Bulgaria actively works to develop the issues discussed, and all members will receive detailed information about their progress.
