The hospitable Upper Thracian Plain welcomed 70 participants in the Autumn meeting of FBN Bulgaria with excellent weather at the beginning of October.

Representatives of three generations in 25 family companies, members of the Association, partners and guests of the meeting gathered for three full days filled with diverse events.

On Friday evening, the Management Board of FBN Bulgaria symbolically opened the Autumn meeting with its meeting in Plovdiv's Residence City Garden.

The participants of the event gathered for dinner in the restaurant of the hotel, owned by the Georgievi family ("Rozaimpex"), hosted by the representative of the older generation in the family, Mr. Dimitar Georgiev.

Dynamic and interesting, the Saturday program started with a test drive, impeccably organized by the team of the General Partner of the Silver Star Motors EAD Association. The Mercedes cars took the participants to Asenovgrad - to visit the family company "Techno Press". The hosts, the Dimitrov family, offered the guests a fascinating account of their business history, told by the founder of the company, Mr. Emil Dimitrov, as well as a useful tour of the production units of the printing factory.

The afternoon program had an attractive location - the remarkable Episcopal Basilica of Filipopol created a unique atmosphere for the talk on "Bulgarian entrepreneurship - past and present". The host of the conversation was Hristo Hristov, executive director of "Darik Radio", and his interlocutor was Assoc. Dr. Sonia Georgieva, lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". At the meeting, a significant book was presented, published by the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises - the collective monograph "History of Bulgarian Entrepreneurship", a joint project of an author's team of seven professors from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and the University of National and World Economy, one of which is Assoc. Sonia Georgieva.

Sunday was dedicated to a familiarization tour of the ancient and eternal Plovdiv - a guided walk through the hidden treasures of the Old Town, a visit to the "Dimitar Georgiev" gallery and a joint lunch.
